It’s Children’s Mental Health Week this coming February (3rd-9th), and the theme this year—"Know Yourself, Grow Yourself"—really hits home for me. It’s such an important message, especially for our girls.

We all want our daughters to grow up confident, happy, and able to navigate their emotions. But let’s be honest—it’s not always easy for them to know how they’re feeling, let alone express it. I’ve seen how overwhelming it can be for girls, especially as they’re growing and figuring things out. This is why I wanted to put my own spin on this year’s theme.
So, I created a workshop called Feel, Think, and Grow. It’s all about helping girls aged 7–12 understand their emotions, learn what’s behind them, and figure out how to handle them in a way that builds their confidence and self-esteem.
Why This Workshop Matters
Kids experience emotions so strongly, don’t they? But often, they don’t have the words—or the space—to make sense of it all. When girls understand their emotions, it’s like they unlock a new level of confidence and self-awareness.
That’s why I came up with my Feel, Think, and Grow workshop
Feel: Recognise and name their emotions.
Think: Understand why they feel the way they do.
Grow: Discover practical ways to manage their emotions and celebrate who they are.
